That is the motto of Middleborne Arms. Well, that and "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women."

 

We're a small family business consisting of me, my wife, and our five wonderful kids, from southwestern Missouri.

 

Middleborne Arms started from a desire to make swords for my own kids. That desire, after a few minor life changes (loss of a job, lack of success at a new job, and a brand new beautiful baby), led to me  advertising my then paltry sword making abilities to the internet masses. The response convinced me to quit my failing day job and commit fully to making the best wooden swords (and other wooden weapons) I could for children, adults, adults who act like children, and anyone else who wants high quality hand crafted wooden replicas of historical, fantasy, or sci-fi weapons.​

 

I make most blades from locally sourced hickory, a dense, hard wood that mimics steel in its ability to flex while staying true. I also make specialty swords with exotics like the Purpleheart Gladius.

I make the swords to be as comfortable in the hand wielding against a foe and set up on the mantle as as display.
